How does BMHA buy goods and services?
Competitive Solicitations – Competitive procurement is conducted for purchases exceeding $25,000 by either sealed bidding or competitive proposals.
Small Purchases
For purchases in excess of $500 and up to $25,000 three quotes shall be solicited. Quotes may be verbal or written and may be received by telephone, fax or e-mail. For purchases up to $500, buyers may procure the supplies or services from a single vendor.
Advertisement
Open Invitation for Bids (IFBs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs) are advertised in the Legal Advertisement section of The Hamilton Journal, and The Middletown Journal and are posted on the web here.
What does BMHA buy?
BMHA purchases a wide variety of goods and services such as office supplies, stoves and refrigerators, electrical, plumbing, painting supplies, janitorial supplies, vehicles and various construction items. BMHA procures general and professional services including insurance, lawn care, pest control, training, legal, architectural and engineering services.
