BMHA Poster / Calendar Contest
"What Home Means to Me"
Butler Metropolitan Housing Authority held a calendar contest last year for their 2020 Calendar. Natalie, our contest winner, received a $25 gift card. Her drawing was then submitted to the State level where she won again and received another $25 gift card. Her submission is currently at the Regional level and if chosen, she will move on to the National level for a chance to receive a $100 gift card or an iPad and a trip to Washington DC.
Would you like a chance to win!
You can by entering our 2021 contest. Posters reflect the national theme of “What Home Means to Me.” Contest is open to all children residing in affordable housing assisted directly or supported under community development, or participants in affordable housing programs (i.e., public or Section 8-assisted housing CDBG, HOME, LIHTC).
There are three categories of competition - K to 5th grade; 6th to 8th grade; 9th to 12th grade.
Prizes – Those who enter will have a chance at a $25 VISA Card and have their entry featured in Butler Metro Housing’s 2021 Calendar. From all entries received, we will select three for submission to State for a chance at another $25 gift card. State level winners will be sent to Regionals where the committee will select three winners from each category for National competition in Washington D.C. Twelve (12) national winners will receive a $100 Visa gift card and one lucky person will be chosen as the National Grand Prize winner where she/he will receive an iPad. The Grand prize winner and one guest will receive transportation and lodging at NAHRO’s Washington Conference in Washington D.C. where he or she will be honored. The Grand Prize winner will also receive a framed copy of their original artwork and will tour Capitol Hill.
If you have a child interested in submitting a poster entry – complete the pre-registration form and return by September 30, 2020. After we receive your form, we will send you contest rules, release forms and other information needed to enter the contest.
